Plan such that your arrival in the convention town is anytime before 8 AM on Day 1(26th May 2025) or on evening of 25th May 2025. Inform your registration desk about your departure date and time and if there are any changes in your departure plan, if even earlier, accordingly we will change your Heritage tour plan. You are expected to vacate the premises by 1st June 2025 evening. And plan your departure, after you complete the heritage tour you choose.
Regarding how to reach IIT Hyderabad campus (registration venue): If you are arriving on 23rd/24th May, then please see the transport guidelines given in Guidelines to reach IITH.
If you are arriving on 25th May, then SPIC MACAY is arranging transport from Major Railway stations and Airport. The details of vehicle no/ timings regarding transportation will be shared by 22nd evening. However, for some reasons like trains arriving late/ traffic on that day in chennai, it may happen that some of you have to wait for about 1 hr in railway station/ airport for the next arranged vehicle to come to you.
Those who are arriving on the 25th May can please contact our registrations coordinators, if required. Please call them only on the 25th May slightly ahead of your arrival time (say when you are about to reach in 2hrs). Please avoid too many calls, as it creates a lot of chaos at the pick up point.
No. SPICMACAY will not sponsor any travel.
You do not have to pay on 25th May - dinner onwards. Early birds have the option to buy lunch from IIT Hyderabad, canteen. You will be given holistic vegetarian food throughout the convention. You must stand in a queue and wait patiently for your turn before you get the food. In the welcome kit, you will be given food coupons / cards for all days of the convention.
Hence don’t forget to bring two passport size photographs- one for the ID card and another for the meal card. Do not waste food at any point of the time. You can go for multiple servings. Keep your used plates only in designated areas.
No. We strongly discourage participants from eating any snacks for the entire week as it will dilute the nourishment experience that holistic food provides.
Food timings are carefully designed to match the energy and nutrition requirement of the day long activity. It is important that you take food at the scheduled timings and not skip any meal of the day or eat something else later.
Your accommodation will be arranged at the venue. It is a gated campus. There will be separate hostels for boys and girls. It will be simple hostel rooms that you share with a few others. As the whole convention is in an ashram-like setting.Please bring 2 bedsheets and 1 pillow cover with you. Accompanying teachers will stay with the students. Male accompanying teachers will be given a room in boys hostel and female teachers in girls hostel. There are common baths and toilets on every floor. At the registration welcome desk, you will be allotted a room with your registration ID. Rooms once allotted will not be changed unless there is an emergency. Please keep your room clean. Throw garbage only in the dust bin. Be cordial with your fellow roommates. Switch off lights and fan before leaving the room. Do not lock the room as you share it with many others. Lock only your luggage.
You may decide on one common point like - outside the hostel, at the food counter, or at the main hall at the start of the convention and can meet them daily at the same place on a mutually decided time like - before the intensives start, after the yoga is over, before the evening programs start etc.
However each teacher coordinator is responsible for the attendance of their students throughout the schedule.
Please bring enough clothes for the entire week. You will neither have time nor any option to wash it on campus.

Yes, all students and accompanying teachers must compulsorily take part in all the activities assigned to them for the entire week. You have to practice yoga and the intensive allocated under the guru and be in that same team for the entire week.
Intensives are allocated on a first come first serve basis. We have tried to accommodate maximum preference. Those who did not get “Music” preference are allotted to morning yoga sessions which clubs with music intensive. Refer 10th convention schedule where yoga sessions have details of each such clubbing.
An intensive is a 3 hour class from 9am – 12pm daily, where you will be exposed to one art form and will get to learn the basics of that art form directly from an eminent guru.

Yes, you must! You will be allotted one of the intensive choices chosen by your students.

On the penultimate day, you will be performing all that you have learnt in the intensive throughout the week in front of all other participants.
No. All the materials required for your intensives will be provided by SPIC MACAY.
On the last day of the convention, you will be taken to nearby places of historical importance. Every participant goes on only one heritage tour depending on the time of departure & based on their choice given earlier in google form. We advise all school student teams to go together with their accompanying teacher. Other participants are free to make individual choices. All participants will be dropped back at the venue after the tour is completed or at the nearest airport/bus/train stations, in which case, you should carry your luggage in the bus. If you are going back to the hostel, we recommend that all your bags and suitcases be locked in one room before you leave for the tour. You do not need to pay for this at all. Food, water and entry tickets will be arranged by SPICMACAY. You may have some cash handy to buy souvenirs etc.

Mobile phones must be submitted at the registration desk. In case of any emergency please contact a volunteer. SPIC MACAY is not responsible for your valuable things like cash, jewellery etc.
Participants are not allowed to bring their cameras. There will be a professional cameraman approved by SPIC MACAY capturing all the performances. All the photos will be uploaded on SPIC MACAY Media platforms. You may download it from there. Places mentioned in our heritage tour plan either have tickets to allow cameras or have photography/videography restrictions. Hence we recommend all participants not to bring any cameras even for a tour.
No. We strongly discourage interaction with non-participants. No participant is allowed to go out of the campus until the end of the Convention. If your friend wishes to attend afternoon or evening performances, they may do so.
