¶ About SPIC MACAY
SPIC MACAY - Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth, is a
voluntary youth movement that promotes the tangible & intangible aspects of Indian & world heritage by organizing programs and workshops of Indian Classical Music, Classical dance, folk music, folk dance, yog, meditation, crafts, and other aspects of Indian culture. It is a movement started in 1977 by Padmasree Dr. Kiran Seth an Emeritus Professor from IIT Delhi and has chapters in over 950 towns across the world. The core purpose of SPIC MACAY is to have every child experience the inspiration and mysticism embodied in Indian and World heritage.

The vertical eye represents inner wisdom, perception and inquiry to look at life with deep elements of truth. To take on the inward journey towards perfection.Outward growth is measurable while inward journey is endless.

We organizeourselves to enable artists interaction even in the remotest of schools to ignite the young minds.

¶ About the Convention
The International Convention is the culmination of SPIC MACAY's year-long efforts, bringing together 1,500+ students from India and abroad. For one week, the "supatras" immerse themselves in a unique, ashram-like environment, experiencing classical music and dance concerts, intensives, yog, theatre and cinema classics, folk arts, crafts, and heritage tours.
